Investigators Present David Scott Shelley Canuto
Investigation Summary - 12/27/09
This case was another local one for their team. They were contacted by the founder of a paranormal team in Asheboro, N.C. on December 24th, 2009. In her email to them she stated that she feared someone on her team had a demon attached and was possibly fighting possession. The team asked for their help not just because they deal with the demonic, but also because she felt that someone outside of her team should handle the case. Shelley and David drove to Asheboro on December. 27th, 2009 to conduct the interview with the team and the victim. They arrived around 2:00pm where they met at a neutral location, another team member’s house. Upon their arrival the victim was outside smoking a cigarette and was obviously distraught. David assured her that everything would be fine and for them to go inside and start the interview. David asked her point blank during the interview how she felt with Shelley and David being in the same room with her. Her response was “nervous”. Throughout the interview she kept commenting on the presence of one of her teammates who had been trying to help her. She explained that she kept feeling like she wanted to laugh. The interview took about twenty minutes. The victim also asked several questions. Upon completion of the interview the victim stepped outside again to smoke another cigarette. While she was doing so David advised her teammates that she was heavily under demonic influence, but, she wasn’t possessed. David explained to her teammates to keep a very close eye on her as she was very vulnerable at that time. David also advised them that someone needed to stay with the victim as much as possible until the case could be resolved. Shelley and David left about an hour and a half after they had arrived, and brought home all of the victims past items that she had from practicing Wicca. David told the team to make sure that the victim didn’t have any other items that she may have forgotten about, and if she did, to get them to David for safe keeping. All of those items have had a binding prayer performed over them by them and are now in a safe place where they can do no further harm to anyone. David went back to Asheboro on January. 17th, 2010 so that David could perform a binding ceremony over the victim; so as to protect her from any further demonic activity. The victim stated that she was trying and wanting to become a Christian with the help of her teammates so David did a very special binding ceremony over her. While David was performing the ceremony David had everyone present gather around the victim and David by forming a circle and holding hands. David instructed them to say silent prayers for the victim while the ceremony was being performed. The victim did have some trouble going through the ceremony but David expected this to happen and advised everyone of that possibility before they started. The difficulty was coming from demonic influence because it knew what was happening and was trying to stop it. The ceremony took about ten minutes and except for the victim feeling light-headed at one point, it went well, and ended with her being a born-again Christian. Afterwards, David sat down and told the victim what just happened and how it would affect her. David also answered any questions that the team had. They also asked some questions concerning a copy of the IM’s that were sent back and forth between the victim and the person who was trying to help her at that time. David didn’t want to jump the gun though so he told her to make sure her son just wasn’t acting out due to his age. Since that time the son has been fine with no further problems so David do not feel that there was anything demonic going on with him. It does seem that she is free from this demon but only time will tell for sure.
