Investigation
This case
comes to us out of Raleigh, N.C. We arrived to the location at
approximately 7:30pm on October 11th. Upon arrival we were taken on
a tour of the home so the client could show us where the reported activity
had been taking place. This is a fairly large split level home that
consists of about 2200 square ft. After the tour we set
up equipment (See Tech Manager notes for locations).
After equipment set up was completed we began the investigation.
Since the
activity primarily happened during the client's normal nightly routine, we
asked the client to start getting ready for bed. We wanted to
see if anything would happen as she is usually attacked while asleep, or
going to sleep. While the client was going through her bedtime
routine we began downstairs in the kitchen by conducting an EVP
session, and Religious Provocation. (David did talk to the client about
provoking and received her permission prior to the investigation)
While in the sunroom, next to the kitchen, we started to use a mild form
of Religious Provocation while doing the EVP session. While doing this,
the team heard two loud bangs coming from inside the attic above us.
About a minute later the motion sensor in the attic was triggered. (It
is important to note here that the attic was sealed off completely and
there was nothing in it that could have moved to trigger it)
About a minute and a half later the client came down from her bedroom and
reported being poked in the head and her hair being pulled while she was
lying down. For the rest of the investigation she remained with the
team. Before finishing up the EVP session in the sunroom, Anne heard
something moving around in the front living room twice, and she felt a
very cold spot behind the couch on which she and David were
sitting. We then decided to move into the front Living room to conduct an
EVP session in there. While in this room Anne reported being touched on
the elbow by something behind her. We looked around behind her and there
was nothing there for her to have brushed up against or hit. After
finishing the EVP session in the living room we took a short break and
straightened up the sunroom (the reason for this will become apparent
shortly) then proceeded to the client's son's current room to
conduct an EVP session in there. While in this room Chris detected a cold
spot about two feet off the floor near the door, moving slowly towards the
bed. At this time the air was off, and was felt by everyone in the
room. This cold spot lasted for about 5 minutes. Chris was also
touched on the arm while we were in this room. After finishing the EVP
session in the son's room, we checked on the equipment around the house to
make sure it was still functioning. We discovered a cushion on the
couch in the sunroom had been moved while all of us were in the son's room
doing the EVP session. The sofa had been straightened up before
heading into the son's room, but now a cushion had been stood up in a
complete vertical position. This personal experience will be
investigated further on a future investigation.
We then
broke off into teams of two. Chris and David proceeded to
the daughter's room (this room was formerly the son's room
and where the window pane shattered on its own from the inside out),
and Anne and the client went back downstairs to the sunroom area. While
Chris and David were upstairs, David noticed that a cubby door
that he had closed and locked was open with the lock still in the
locked position. While Chris and David were in the girl's room
conducting an EVP session, they both heard movement in the corner of the
bedroom next to a dresser. A few minutes later the motion sensor in the
attic was triggered for a second time. After completing this session in
the girl's room we all met in the Master bedroom for a quick EVP session
before ending the investigation. We finished up around 11pm as the kids
needed to get to bed for the night, and we headed out around 11:30pm.
During the tear down, the cubby door was observed opening and closing on
it's own. It was discovered that the pressure that was created when
the front door opened and closed caused this door to move, however does
not explain how this door was opened after it was locked. This will
also be investigated in more detail on a future
investigation.
During
this investigation we also tested each TV to try and recreate them turning
off and on, even leaving the TV on in the master bedroom for some
time. It did not shut off on its own. We were not able
debunk this personal experience.
There
were many shared and personal experiences during this investigation. Below
you will find some of the EVP's collected during this
investigation.
Evidence:
(*) This EVP was captured in the
Kitchen area. What you are going to hear is the demon speaking and
then whistling.
(*) This EVP was captured
in the Kitchen area too. You are going to hear very loud and defined
scratching.
(Tech Manager note: The recorder was set on a
chair with a microphone attached, hanging off the edge of the
chair... No one was near the recorder when this EVP was picked
up)
(*) This EVP was captured in
the girl's room while Chris and David were checking out the window in
which the pane shattered.
(*) This EVP was captured in
the girl's room also, however, there was no one present in the room at the
time and it was closed off. The talking in the background is team members
in another room.
(*) In this EVP you are
going to hear the demon saying the name of one of the people that lives in
the home. The homeowner has given us permission to play this EVP as it is
not her name, nor can anyone find out who the client is by this name being
said.
House Blessing -
12/2/08
David arrived
at the home on December 2nd, 2008 at approximately 8:00 a.m.
It is important to note here
that since the date of the investigation, the home no longer has any
occupants, or power. Instead of renewing the lease for rent at the end of
November, the client took the opportunity to move out and stay with family
until finding another place to live. The N.A.D.P team has been able to
continue to have access to the home so that it could be blessed.
Upon arrival,
David was the only one present at the home. He began setting up the audio
equipment in the family room, front living room, the girls old bedroom,
master bedroom, and attic. He then began the house blessing by starting in
the crawl space of the home, and then moving from there to the main part
of the house which consists of the kitchen/ dining room area, and living
room. While performing the house blessing in the kitchen area he heard
what sounded like knocking or thumping coming from above him in the attic.
However, this was not captured on the audio from the attic.
While he was
performing the house blessing in the family room, he had the feeling that
he should not be in the home. This feeling did diminish though as he
continued to bless the rest of the home. Upon finishing the downstairs
portion of the home he moved upstairs to bless the bedrooms. David did not
experience any other type of activity while upstairs, or throughout the
rest of the house blessing. He finished at approximately 9:10 a.m. and
left. Due to the fact that
this was such a strong demon, David feels that the home will need to be
blessed again. The fact that only three EVP’s were captured is a good sign
that the house blessing did weaken the demon significantly, thus, a second
blessing will hopefully drive the demon out completely.
Evidence:
This EVP was
captured in the family room while David was blessing the bedrooms
upstairs. We can not however understand what its saying.
This EVP was
captured just before the attic was blessed. What you will hear is the
demon mimicking the voice of the former tenant, by saying David’s name in
a whisper around the 3 second mark. David believes it did this to let him
know that it was still there, and to remind him of how powerful it is.
This is just one example of why the home will need to be blessed
again.
