I know that many people will probably look at the title of this article and think “What does that have to do with Demonology?” It actually has a great deal to do with it. It is only through the power of God and Jesus Christ that you can successfully expel demons and keep them out of homes or people. If a person does not believe in God then they will not be able to successfully expel a demon from a home or person.

The existence of God has been questioned by many people. The most common excuses that people will use for the non-existence of God is; If there is a God why does he let so many innocent people in the world suffer?, and I don’t believe in God because I have cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc.

Some people also say that they don’t believe in God simply because they can’t see, or touch Him. It is sad to say that those reasons are the most potent weapons unbelievers have. I say sad because these questions can be easily answered if one knows how to do it. I’ll address these questions one by one. First off, if there is a God why does he let so many innocent people suffer? Okay, the first thing everyone needs to understand is that no one is innocent in the eyes of God. Born again Christians aren’t even innocent, we are just forgiven. We are all sinners because we are born into a sinful world and we ourselves are born sinners because we carry the seed of sin within us. That is just one of many reasons why no one is innocent in the eyes of God.

Secondly, I don’t believe in God because I have cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. God often inflicts diseases or other things on people and families just to try and get them to come to Him, or strengthen their faith in Him. My own mother was diagnosed with the worst cancer that you can have and on top of that it was already at stage four because she had it for a year and a half before it was diagnosed. The cancer doctor told my mom that she only had 6 months to a year to live. When my family and church found out we prayed and prayed for her and the good Lord heard our prayers. She is now cured! That is just an example of how the infliction of a disease can bring you closer to God and or strengthen your faith in Him.

Finally, there is the matter of people who say they don’t believe in what they can’t see or touch. I’ll address this by saying two things. Number one, we can’t see the wind, but it blows. We know that it is there because we see it blowing the trees and we feel it. Yet it is invisible. Something is moving the trees and touching us, we feel it but we don’t see it. Secondly, love itself is something that we can’t see or touch but we know that it exists. We love our parents, siblings, wife or husband, children, grandchildren, etc. but it’s not something that they see or can touch. Some of the most real things in this world are the things that we can’t see or touch. Those are just some very basic answers to those very common questions, and beliefs.

The proof of God’s existence is all around us. The sun, moon, and stars in the sky. All of the different seasons of the year; spring, summer, fall, and winter. The way trees grow and how caterpillars change into butterflies. All of these are just some of the ways that God has shown us that he does indeed exist. The Bible even says that all of these things are proof of his existence so no man has any excuse for not believing in Him. (Romans, Chapter 1, verse 20) Just sit back for a few minutes and seriously think about what I’ve written here, or just look out your window and look at all of the things I’ve described. Do you honestly believe that everything we know about today including ourselves was created by the “Big Bang” theory that some scientist believe in? Or that we crawled out of the primordial ooze and “evolved” from that, or even apes? Even if you just sit back and think about how incredibly complex our bodies are you know we couldn’t have evolved from ooze or apes. We were created. Speaking of science, did you know that over the last two decades archeologists have proven more and more that everything in the Bible is, or was true? When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the 1940’s they backed up EVERYTHING that is written in the Bible. Then there’s the fact that archeologist and ancient texts have proven that Jesus Christ was in fact a real person. Of course Christians already knew and believed that he was, but many people did not.

I would like to encourage everyone to read their Bible, and if you don’t have a Bible then I encourage you to borrow one from a friend or relative or buy one. It would be a great investment. Once you have found, borrowed, or bought one then sit down and read it. Start at the beginning and take your time, it will answer a lot of questions including the most common ones. Just remember that the Old Testament is basically predicting, and prophesying the birth of Christ, his deeds, works, etc.
