Demonology:
Demonology is the study of demons, devils, what
they are capable of, their powers, origin, limitations, how they behave,
and why.
What
is a Religious Demonologist?
A
Religious Demonologist is a born-again Christian male/female that is
supported and backed by the church and continues to study the teachings of
many different subjects. They are also formally taught, and trained by
ordained clergy such subjects as Systematic Theology, and spiritual
warfare. A Religious Demonologist and their work have also been blessed by
the church to do the work they do. A Religious Demonologist is an official
position of the church much like a Priest, Pastor, Assoc. Pastor, Deacon,
or Secretary. It is important to know and remember that this type of work
is not something that a person can do as a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
It is
the responsibility of the R.D. to determine whether or not a haunting or
paranormal activity is of a demonic nature or not. They are also
responsible for gathering and submitting the evidence of demonic activity
to the church so that exorcisms or the blessing of a homes and places can
be performed by the clergy. Most churches will
not
intervene unless they have undisputable evidence.
It is also their job to act as a liaison
between
the family and church if possible. The church and only the church can
label someone a R.D. and can give them the authority to bless homes and
places, give counseling to victims of demonic attacks, and assist in
exorcisms. They are also able to
tell
whether or not a haunting or paranormal activity is of a demonic nature,
and to know
whether
or not someone is truly suffering from possession or faking it.
What
is a lay-Religious Demonologist?
A
lay-Religious Demonologist is someone who has not been ordained (blessed)
by the
church
to do this type of work, and they must obtain permission from the church
before they act or do anything during the case. A R.D. can make their on
calls as they see fit, and do not have to have the permission of the
church before they do anything.
What
are demons?
A demon
is a fallen angel. They do not multiply in numbers nor do they decrease in
numbers. The amount always stays the same.
Where
do demons come from?
Demons
are the fallen angels that rebelled against God and are originally from
Heaven.
When
they rebelled God cast them into the pits of nether gloom in Hell where
they are
to
remain until the Last Judgment of Jesus Christ. They are allowed to wander
and stalk the earth also but when they are cast out of homes and or people
it is the pits of nether gloom that they return to before looking for more
victims.
What
do demons look like?
Demons
do not have physical or material bodies. They appear most often as black
shadows, humanoid forms, red or orange mists. They will often disguise
themselves in
human
form but they can not duplicate the human form perfectly because they were
never human themselves. When they attempt this there will always be
something wrong.
(ex.
luminescent eyes, missing an arm or leg, etc.) They will also always be
accompanied by foul smells, scratching noises, growling, pig like
snorting, shrieks, screams, and even wailing.
Who
will demons attack?
Demons
do not discriminate. They will attack babies, children, young adults,
adults, and the elderly. It doesn’t matter what your ethnic or religious
background is either. Man was created in the image of God, thus we are the
enemy and they will do anything they can to
destroy
us and make us suffer in the process.
Why
do demons attack some people but not others?
A demon
has to be invited into the life of their intended target. This is usually
done through the use of occult items like Ouija boards, Pendulums, Tarot
cards, Dowsing rods,
and the
like. It can also come from practicing black magic or being cursed by
someone
who
practices black magic, etc.
Who
can confront a demon?
Only the
clergy or a Religious Demonologist can successfully confront a demon. This
is because they have been trained in spiritual warfare and know how to
defend themselves
and
others if they are attacked. However, it is important to remember that no
one is to ever try to provoke or confront a demon unless it is absolutely
necessary, and even then only if they have the permission of the
home-owner. The only reason why a demon would even need to be confronted
is to obtain the proof that they are there so that the church will
intervene.
