| I decided to write this article because I have had many people email me about what I do, how to go about doing it, etc. With that in mind, I feel it’s necessary to go into some more detail about the lifestyle of a Religious Demonologist. The work itself is dangerous simply because of what you deal with. The lifestyle, as a whole, is not easy either. This is because it is very demanding, draining (emotionally, mentally, & physically), and stressful. Also, because of what’s expected of you. That is, how you are suppose to behave and conduct yourself at all times, even when you’re not on a case. There are “Laws” that you must abide by, and you can not ever sway from them. The “Laws” that I’m referring to are of course God’s law, as well as Church law. Basically, if you do not follow, and or live by the laws set forth by God & Church you will not be successful or safe. Simply put, if you do not lead a Godly life (Christian Life) you will not be able to confront demons, or protect people from them successfully. A big part in this is determined by how pious and pure you are in the eyes of God. If you lead an unrighteous and sinful lifestyle you will be no better than the demons in the eyes of God. Your piousness, which I referred to earlier, is how you behave and act towards God in an attempt to fulfill any type of religious duty. This is one of the main reasons why your lifestyle is so very important and demanding. A lot of Religious Demonologists live a secluded type of lifestyle of some kind (including myself). There are many reasons for this, but, the main ones being that you should avoid any type of negative atmosphere, activity, and people. Of course this does not mean that you have to be a “shut-in” but you should always do your best to avoid anything “sinful”. This can be difficult because we all know people (family too) that are not very pleasant to be around or hangout with. As we all know, the more you tend to hangout with people, the more you become like them. For example, you may start behaving the same way, doing the same things, talking the same, etc. Of course that doesn’t mean you can NEVER see them, but it’s a good idea to limit your time around them whenever possible. The same goes for places (bars, clubs). Your purity is just as important. Now, having stated that it certainly doesn’t mean you have to live a “Saintly” life. After all, we are only human thus we are sinful in nature and were born into a sinful world. God knows this of course, but, He does expect us to do our very best at all times to live according to His will and laws. Purity plays a key role in case work. This is because you may be called upon to use Religious Provocation or even Bless a home if deemed necessary if the Church has given you that authority and it’s approval to do so. Therefore, you will need to be pure in the eyes of God when doing those things. It is for that reason that prayer and fasting are necessary when preparing for such events, and why the clergy does it. When they do these things they are purging themselves of sin. Therefore, it is very important for you to do these things with your whole-heart. You really need to mean it, not just go through the motions. Remember, God knows your mind and heart so if you don’t do things the way He expects, you will be asking for trouble, not to mention the fact that you can’t fool Him. Dealing with clients is also a very big part of the lifestyle. If you are the type of person that doesn’t like to be woke up in the middle of the night for any reason this field of work is definitely NOT for you. Clients will call you at all hours of the night if they need help and are frightened. When I say all hours I mean all hours. I have had clients call me at 2:30 and 3:00am before because something was going on in their home that was keeping them awake or scaring them. When you are helping a person or family they are putting their faith and trust in you that you’ll help them no matter what, even if it means them calling you in the middle of the night terrified. If this happens you need to be able to help them at that time. Telling them to call you back in the morning will not help them because the activity is occurring then. You need to be ready at all times, and know what to do. If you tell a client that you don’t take calls after a certain hour every night then you’re not really going to be much help to them. The fact of the matter is that most activity happens at, or during the night. If this is something you can’t do or you think you won’t be able to handle then this work is not for you. Finally, there’s the matter of attacks and potential attacks. This is something that will not only affect you, but your family as well. When dealing with demonic cases you can actually have demons pay you “visits” while working on a case or even before a case begins. This has been well documented, and it has happened to me several times. Demons will sometimes try to do things to dissuade a person from helping someone that is being afflicted by them. They may also visit you to let you know that they know who you are, what your intentions are, etc. This may also serve as a warning sometimes. Many paranormal investigators have dropped cases because a demon did something to scare them off, or paid them a visit. Once you step willingly into this field you and your family will become targets for the diabolical. Proper measures need to be taken to ensure your family’s safety because a demon will do anything to get to you or to try and keep you from helping someone. If these measures aren’t taken then you will be putting not only yourself in danger with every case you get, but your family as well. That is why I tell everyone that contacts me about wanting to do this work that they need to talk with their family about it too. They could be affected by what you do eventually. In closing, this is not a field to get into just because you are “fascinated” with it or “curious” about it. Nor is this field of work something you can do as a “hobby”. It is truly a lifestyle for all the reasons I’ve listed above. This work is something that you are called to do. If you are meant to do this work you WILL know it. You won’t have any doubts at all. If God wants you to do this work for Him He will let you know, and He will provide a path for you. Just keep in mind that that doesn’t mean it will be easy because it won’t, and from the very start until the very end you will have to do what’s right, not what’s easy. God Bless. | |
